Data Policy

The following document explains the personal data that Toastmasters of Paris collects and retains concerning guests and members along with how you can exercise your rights for collection, modification and erasure of your data that we hold.

Rights of access and erasure

Guest data

When you sign up on our website as a guest for our meetings we ask you for your name, telephone number and e-mail address, which we use to confirm your attendance at our club meetings. Additionally we store data concerning the dates of the meetings and the frequency that guests attend in case they are interested in becoming a member of the club.

Guest data is retained up to a maximum of 2 years after the club meeting that they most recently attended and is never shared with third parties.

Member data

Members of Toastmasters of Paris provide various personal details when they join the club, including but not limited to name, address and e-mail address. Additionally we store data concerning past and future meeting attendance and meeting roles that allow us to plan successful club meetings.

Member data is retained up to a maximum of 3 years after the member has left the club and is never shared with third parties.

Rights of access and erasure

You have the following rights regarding your personal data that Toastmasters of Paris holds:

  • You may request a copy of your personal information that Toastmasters of Paris stores. (Right of Access)
  • You may request the removal of your personal information that Toastmasters of Paris stores. (Right of Erasure)

In both cases you can make your request by sending an e-mail to webmaster@toastmastersofparis.com. Your request will be processed with a delay of no longer than 30 days and you may be asked for additional information to confirm your request and your identify.

Please note that in the case of the Right of Erasure, once your personal data has been erased Toastmasters of Paris will no longer be able to identify you based on the information that was previously kept by the club.
